Parkin Archeological State Park - Parkin, AR
Quilting is a tradition that has been passed down for generations and makes up the 'fabric' of American history. Quilts have been used to keep people warm, as gifts, and as decorations. They have a special significance in African American history in that they may have been used as code in the Underground Railroad. Join us for a session on learning about this amazing story and learn the basics of quilting as well! A session in the morning will be geared towards children aged 5 and up ($3 per chile) and an afternoon session will cater to adults ($5 per adult). Contact the Park Interpreter Mel to register (email@example.com or 870-755-2500).
