Return To Bethlehem

Grace United Methodist Church presents a live production called “Return To Bethlehem”. This is not a play. It is a live set of the city of Bethlehem that is built in a field beside the church facilities in North Augusta. The whole town is rebuilt from the Census Taker’s hut, through candle making, bread making, and dozens of other outdoor scenes lit by torches and fires. A guide takes groups of about 20 people through all of the live scenes of the night of Jesus’ birth. They see the city and its markets, the Inn, King Herod’s court, the travels of the wise men, and the nativity including live animals. It is an amazing experience to literally step back in time. No donations are accepted, this is Grace UMC’s gift to the community!
